Create 360 with Students

Offer Opportunites for Students to Create in 360

Video Edit.png

Educators already integrating 360° media, virtual and augmented reality resources, have already discovered the many benefits for students. Some benefits include improved engagement to "dropping" students in the middle of a personal virtual field trip where students might see, hear, and learn about specific cultural or scientific environments. The opportunity for students to immerse themselves in these learning opportunities creates powerful, memorable learning experiences. After all, students retain more of what they do and see, which makes 360° and VR/AR a natural fit for well-designed lessons.

But now we can take students to that next level - instead of just consuming 360° and VR, resources are emerging for students to create and share their learning in 360° across grade levels and content areas. Explore my current top 3 resources for students to create in 360 in the interactive box below.

Google Tour Creator

Google Tour Creator is likely the most well-known resource for students to create their own VR Tours.

  • Student-created experiences are easy to create and share.

  • Students can take add ambient audio and narration.

  • Students can also add "points of interest" like image overlay and narration.

  • Google Tour Creator is incredibly simplistic to create, yet offers enough powerful tools to capture students learning.

  • Shared projects work well with Google Expeditions, too.
